CustomsLink team

So far this year we've welcomed many new members to the team as we expand our offering here at CustomsLink.

From customs clearance to account administration, here's a few words from Fahad, Michelle, Sunny, Lokesh, Louise, Prathna, Ankit and Yash - what they do, one of their memorable moments so far and advice for customers.

Fahad

Fahad

Hello, I'm Fahad and I work as a customs clearance agent. My role involves overseeing import and export declarations, transit movements (T1/T2), GMRs, ENSs and general customs compliance. I also support customers by resolving rejected entries, advising on documentation, Incoterms 2020, VAT and duty requirements and ensuring shipments move smoothly without unnecessary delays.

One memorable moment was when a customer called me to say they had “arrived at the port” but couldn’t find any staff working there. They were convinced something was wrong with the port and asked me to guide them over the phone. It turned out they were at the wrong location altogether. It was a good reminder that customs support sometimes goes beyond paperwork and turns into real time problem-solving!

What I really enjoy about working at CustomsLink is the strong teamwork and the focus on supporting customers, especially when things don’t go to plan. Customs can be complex and stressful, but we always aim to explain things clearly and practically so customers feel supported.

Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle. I am a broad range customs clearance agent, but I'm currently working mainly with food related entries, specifically those needing CHEDs. I do entries for food, so I regularly see cans that I’ve cleared into the UK on supermarket shelves.

When it comes to customs advice for customers, documentation and preparation are everything. If you don’t know what you need, the best thing to do is to seek advice from a customs clearance agent. We may ask you a ton of questions and request a lot of documents, but it’s better than getting your goods stuck at port.

Sunny

Sunny

Hello, my name is Sunny. I work as a custom agent whose daily task is to ensure the customer has all the requested documents related to export/import in a timely manner for smooth movement of their goods. Every declaration is unique, so my advice would be to select the right customs team (like CustomsLink) for your goods movement. We support customers in verifying their HS codes, checking their Incoterms 2020 and more, saving you time and money.

Lokesh

My name is Lokesh and I am a CustomsLink customs clearance agent. The best advice I would give customers is to always ask us questions if you are aren't sure about something related to customs. We are happy to help.

Louise

Louise

Hi, my name is Louise, I'm accounts administrator here at CustomsLink. I look after customer accounts whilst also supporting the wider team with any queries.

Prathna

I'm Prathna. I'm an operations support analyst here at CustomsLink and create import/export declarations and port passes (GMR, PBN, ELO) for customers.

One of the most memorable customs tasks I have worked on was assisting with an urgent shipment where the customs declaration needed to be completed accurately and within a tight deadline. It was a great learning experience, and it was rewarding to know that our efforts helped keep the customer's shipment moving without unnecessary delays.

My advice to customers would be to ensure that all shipment information and supporting documents are accurate and provided as early as possible. While complete commercial invoices are important, early communication and preparation can also make a big difference.

Ankit

Ankit

Hello there, my name is Ankit. A big part of my role is also supporting customers, answering their queries and helping them navigate customs processes.

One of the most memorable tasks for me was helping a customer who was moving a large number of goods (76 lines of cargo) under an ATA Carnet for an event in Europe. The customer was quite unsure about the process. It took a lot of communication and problem-solving, but in the end everything was completed successfully and the customer was extremely grateful.

My advice to customers is don't leave customs requirements until the last minute. Providing complete and accurate documents as early as possible gives enough time to identify any issues and helps avoid delays, stress and potential problems at the border.

Yash

Yash

Hi, I'm Yash. I handle ENS declarations and port passes here at CustomsLink. I can't forget the first ENS I completed. It was also the customer's first ENS. Everything went through successfully, making it a memorable experience!

One piece of customs advice I would give customers is send your documents early and make sure all details are correct to help avoid delays.
