Can you fully exploit the potential of marketing within the UK logistics market? Do you have marketing experience within B2B? Can you actively support and execute digital and traditional marketing strategies for multiple brands? Are you ready for your next challenge? If the answers are yes, then look no further.
What do we do?
We offer an exciting opportunity to be part of Freightlink and CustomsLink’s success story in a fantastic employee-centric business, part of the Stena Line portfolio.
The business has three pillars.
- Customs Clearance – CustomsLink, was created in response to post-Brexit border complexities and takes a fresh approach to an old established business by digitalising the processes.
- Ferries – Established in 2003, Freightlink is one of Europe’s largest, freight ferry agencies. We have achieved this through a complementary focus of delivering digitalisation and impeccable customer service across 1000+ routes and many specialist services.
- Logistics – Freightlink Reload provides first class logistics services throughout Europe including freight forwarding, warehouse storage and transport assistance.
About the position
We are a B2B business, but we like to think that we do things that a B2C company does. We call it B2B2C. There’s no reason why freight ferry bookings and customs clearance services can’t have the same innovative marketing and online experience you have when booking airline tickets or a holiday. Drivers and transport planners are people too!
This role is paramount to our success as it plays a vital part in educating, supporting, and promoting what’s important to our customers and our industries.
About you
You are an independent, self-starter with proven experience of contributing to digital and traditional marketing strategies for multiple brands. You can deliver out of the box ideas with your own creative flair, as well as effectively manage your time and workload.
You understand current content creation methods (in their many forms), sales lead generation, website SEO (Google EEAT guidelines) and social media, and can work your magic using Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.
You are no stranger to Google Analytics (with at least intermediate experience), creating reports and working with external agencies on graphics requirements.
What are we looking for?
We are ideally looking for someone with at least 3-5 years’ marketing experience in the travel or logistics industries, but this is not essential. The ability to create innovative and industry leading campaigns is the focus.
Experience of content management systems (such as Drupal), email marketing, design and social media platforms (Mailchimp, Canva) is a must for this role.
We are very collaborative. You are not afraid to speak up and share innovative ideas with the marketing team.
Your ability to work with multiple stakeholders across departments, build long lasting connections and excellent attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) will be the key to delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
You will assist with the execution of marketing strategies (both digital and traditional) for our Freightlink, CustomsLink and Freightlink Reload/Logistics brands by
- Conducting market research, identifying themes and trends that impact our customers
- Creating customer mailshots (email) for all brands
- Creating, sharing, and managing content for our website blogs and social media accounts across all brands – copywriting and design skills a must
- Work with the Head of Marketing on content scheduling and realistic deadlines
- Contributing to design briefs both internally and externally for marketing content (graphics, video, website)
- Creating customer surveys for research and brand content
- Reviewing the success/failure of our marketing campaigns and activities using tools such as Google Analytics in line with our marketing strategy
- Developing and identifying social media accounts and campaign methods for our brands that we don’t currently utilise
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of the industry. Researching industry topics by liaising with the relevant expert stakeholders across the business and regularly monitoring industry news through digital publications
- The above list is not exhaustive. There are always new projects on the horizon that will challenge your skills and push you to become better at what you do every step of the way.
What will you get out of it all?
Our success comes from our people, the ideas they generate and the amazing results they bring. We place a great emphasis on sharing knowledge and your own development.
