HMRC are delivering several 'Town Hall' events to prepare customers for the move to the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
The sessions will last for an hour on Microsoft Teams and will cover the following -
- The phased withdrawal of CHIEF
- Key steps you need to take to get ready as somebody that makes declarations
- Key steps you need to take to get ready as somebody that uses a customs broker to make declarations on your behalf
- Additional support available from HMRC
There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the session, and answers will be provided following the event.

There are four Town Hall Event options for you to choose from -
- Thursday 21st July 2022, 10:00 - 11:00
- Monday 25th July 2022, 10:00 - 11:00
- Wednesday 27th July 2022, 14:00 - 15:00
