Sheridan ME

Sheridan Mechanical & Electrical Services needed to move multiple, newly acquired service vans across the Irish Sea from the UK to Northern Ireland using unaccompanied freight. Something they had never done before.

Smooth, trouble-free delivery was important to avoid any delays. Unfortunately, the situation was complicated when one van was damaged en route to the port, requiring last‑minute amendments to our customs clearance documents and ferry bookings.

Darren at Sheridan M&E opted for CustomsLink’s Managed Service for additional end‑to‑end support. The CustomsLink team managed all of the customs formalities including GMRs and ENS declarations. When the unexpected incident occurred, CustomsLink acted quickly to update documentation and minimise disruption.

"I cannot speak highly enough of Mel and Ankit who assisted me. 10/10. Would definitely recommend." Darren Marshall, Contract Coordinator

Despite unforeseen challenges, the vehicles were successfully transported with minimal delay and no compliance issues. Darren praised the clarity, responsiveness and professionalism of the CustomsLink team, providing confidence to use unaccompanied freight for future movements.
