Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) provides firms with a 'trusted trader' status.
The internationally recognised standard involves multiple HMRC site visits and rigorous inspection. Everything from finances and procedures to customs compliance and knowledge is investigated during the vetting process including
- AEO-C Customs Simplifications focuses on establishing internal quality management controls for customs compliance
- Proven good history of compliance with government authorities
- Proven excellent record keeping
- Proven financial security
